Key Skills & Attributes

  • Minimum five (5) CSEC subjects inclusive of Principles of Accounts, English Language and Mathematics
  • Diploma in accounting or equivalent 
  • Working knowledge of Excel/Word & willingness to undergo further training if needed
  • At least 3 years’ experience with Sage, QuickBooks or similar software
  • Working knowledge of payables and receivables data entry
  • Understanding of a working trial balance
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Adaptive & quick thinking
  • Self-driven
  • Integrity, honesty & customer service skills
  • At least 5 years working in same or similar position 
  • Highly computer literate

Key Responsibilities

  • Local supplier invoice entry
  • Daily expense voucher entry
  • Reconciliation of assigned trial balance accounts
  • Assist with reconciliation of expense accounts
  • Maintain files of source documents & other information relating to accounting activities
  • Assist with preparation for external and internal audits
  • Update & maintain the Fixed Asset register
  • Post Adjusting Journal Entries as needed
