This position will require someone capable of taking charge of the company kitchen and preparing creative, delicious and cost-effective breakfasts and lunches for the team.

  • At least 5 CXC Subjects, including English, Mathematics, Accounting, and 1 business subject
  • Based in, or willing to be based in Kingston, Jamaica
  • Experience/proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word
  • At least four (4) years’ experience as a chef
  • Degree or diploma in culinary arts
  • Valid Food Handler's Permit

A valid driver’s license is an asset but is not required.  



  • Preparing and cooking all food to set standards
  • Stocking and maintaining pantry & kitchen equipment at all times
  • Food preparation and portioning prior to service
  • Maintaining a sanitary and allergen-sensitive food line at all times
  • Plating food promptly and to set standards
  • Oversee menu development and implementation with kitchen staff
  • Develop menu items for staff members with strong gluten, shellfish, nut and lactose allergies 
  • Ensure all work is completed within specific timelines
  • Submission of weekly purchasing needs for food and other kitchen materials
  • Special ordering for any catering or internal events
  • Receiving and stocking food provisions and other deliveries
  • Maintain all surfaces and appliances so that they meet health department standards
  • Lead repair and maintenance for any kitchen appliances
  • Prepare daily breakfast and lunch for 21 people
  • Keep cooking and dining ware clean
  • Develop ways to reduce costs while maintaining food quality
